About me
Emily Herndon, PT, DPT, CLT is the President and Owner of Plains Physical Therapy, a full-spectrum outpatient clinic she has led in rural Plains, Montana since 2008. A Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Lymphedema Therapist, she practices across orthopaedic, neurological, lymphedema, pelvic health, and vestibular care.
Emily serves as President of APTA Montana and Chair of the APTA Chapter Presidents Council, and she sits on the APTA Private Practice Section's Payment & Policy Committee. Her advocacy work spans state and national policy, payment reform, and patient access, including legislative testimony, direct engagement with major payers, and presentations to audiences ranging from APTA's Combined Sections Meeting to the Montana Legislature. She is a recipient of APTA's Lucy Blair Service Award and State Legislative Leadership Award, and was named the University of Montana School of Physical Therapy's Alumni of the Year 2025.
